With a passion for healing and 19 years of professional service, I offer my clients effective, experienced, and compassionate care. I take time to listen to your needs and goals, to assist and educate you towards better living in your body. We all have a deep reservoir of healing within; My aim is to help you connect with it.

     

    I offer hands-on sessions for CranioSacral Therapy, Thai Yoga Bodywork, and Yamuna Body Rolling. Additionally, I teach self-care classes and workshops to help you relax, repair, and revitalize.

    I offer my clients a natural approach pain management, stress reduction, and body-sustainability. My mission is to support people seeking health, life-balance, and a deep connection to their capacity for self-repair and restoration. I aim to provide authentically therapeutic experiences, meeting clients with skill and acceptance.

     

    I am the daughter of a nurse-midwife-healer-teacher, and a scientist-architect-artist-builder…my earliest formative influences. For most of my life I’ve been fascinated by the intersections of mind, body, and spirit. My journey into bodywork began as a teen...curiously studying anatomy, dance, yoga, breath, and meditation. I sharpened this focus with professional degrees in Health Promotion & Wellness Education (1997) and Advanced Clinical Massage & Bodywork (1998).

     

    After a decade offering traditional massage, my focus shifted to myo-fascial release techniques. I added new specialties in Thai Yoga Bodywork, CranioSacral Therapy (CST), and Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR). In my career, I've served in spas, holistic health and fitness centers, trained massage therapists, taught injury prevention, and helped 1000's of clients feel better in their bodies. I love helping others to deepen body-awareness and source healing from within.

     

    During sessions, I attentively listen to the body's subtle signals to locate tension. I consider myself a 'body whisperer'...holding space for the body to recharge, release, and re-align. I believe in educating clients about their bodies, self-care, and healthy self-reliance. I'm immensely grateful to share my passion and help others find more freedom, ease, and comfort. I continue to learn through my own self-care, assisting clients, teaching, and ongoing professional study.

     

    The Sacred Spiral

    Inspired by the prevalence of spirals in nature and the human body, I seek to connect people with their innate patterns of order and balance. Spirals are nature’s most utilized building block, and an ancient symbol in nearly every culture. They represent movement, growth and evolution, the balance of opposites, and the slow reveal of hidden forces that govern form and function. Galaxies, whirlpools, tornadoes, DNA, and fetal development are all expressions of life's awe-inspiring and sacred spiral.

  • CranioSacral Therapy

    CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle form of touch that works with the fluid around the brain and spinal cord, as well as the web of connective tissues throughout the body (fascia). It helps amplify your natural healing response...to unwind tension, reduce pain, speed recovery, and improve function. CST is complex to explain, but essentially, it induces deep relaxation in the brain/nervous system, which supports the 'rest and repair' functions of the body.

     

    CST takes place on a massage table, fully-clothed. During treatment, I use a gentle touch (at various locations) to follow your CranioSacral rhythm, which reveals tension patterns in your body. Wherever the rhythm feels weak or imbalanced, I apply gentle guiding techniques to improve alignment and energy flow to areas that have fallen out of sync. Recipients of CST commonly report sensations of...

    • tension release; lengthening/softening of tissues
    • re-alignments and postural improvements
    • centering and grounding
    • deep, meditative calm for mind/body/emotions
    • easier movement
    • reduced pain
    • expanded body awareness

    Many people use CST for stress reduction and to boost health and immune function. For specific or chronic health concerns, understand that tension patterns take time to build and need time to release...especially if they've been active for years (or decades)! A series of 3 to 5 sessions generally ensures progress, and will indicate if continued treatment is warranted.

    Thai Yoga Bodywork (nicknamed 'Lazy man's yoga'), it is a series of slow rhythmic compressions to muscles and energy pathways in the body, followed by gentle passive stretching. Slowly and smoothly, the body is relieved of tension and restrictions, creating an energized calm. By opening up the energy pathways, our life-force energy can freely circulate, improving your health, mood, and well-being. Flexibility is NOT a requirement to enjoy Thai Yoga...I meet the body where it's at! Thai Yoga is performed on a cushioned floor mat, with the recipient wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid a heavy meal 1-2 hours before your session.

    In Thailand, this practice is called "Nuad Bo-Rarn", which means "ancient healing way". Thai Yoga bodywork traces it's origins back about 2,500 years. It was carried from India to Thailand by traveling monks who had knowledge of yoga, aryuvedic, and Chinese medicine. These influences were eventually blended with Thai indigenous healing, and practiced in sacred temples.

It uses specialized, inflatable therapy balls to work like a massage therapist’s hands. They strategically provide traction and pressure to iron out tension and pain in all areas of the body. Most people say YBR feels like a relaxing, deep tissue massage...the pressure and depth can be adapted to personal preference. Even those with injuries, physical limitations, or advanced age can benefit from using the balls. Yamuna muscle release routines can be modified for use in a chair, in bed, and on a wall or floor space.
